SHIMANO XTR BR-M9220 4-Piston Disc Brake

Enduro and trail riders can expect maximum SHIMANO performance with the XTR BR-M9220 disc brake. 4-piston technology at its best for even more speed, focus and control.
The overall system has been revised both visually and technically, with a snappy but controlled grip so that no downhill descent is too steep and no trail too challenging. 

With the completely redesigned brake unit with I-SPEC EV clamp, the end of the hydraulic reservoir lies directly on the handlebar. The additional support in the direction of lever swing increases stiffness and stability when braking aggressively and thus provides improved brake feel and control on the trail. In addition, the slightly upward curved aluminium brake lever provides a more natural feel.
The hydraulic system is filled with SHIMANO LOW VISCOSITY mineral oil, which has a significantly lower viscosity compared to SHIMANO standard mineral oil. This enables faster and more precise transmission of the brake pressure as well as consistent braking behaviour in different conditions and temperatures.

The J-Kit comes pre-filled and, thanks to the pre-installed olive, allows for easy cutting of the cables as well as cable routing inside the frame, too. Additional bleeding is therefore generally unnecessary.
