Straightforward and without frills: The Rose ALR 2.0 stem on our Backroad and Backroad AL models from model year 2025 onwards has grown slightly compared to the previous model, ensuring a harmonious design and a seamless transition to the spacers used. The aluminium stem scores with good stiffness values and well thought-out cable integration.
The angle is moderately sporty at -6 degrees for a balanced ratio of control, propulsion and long-distance comfort. The ALR 2.0 stem also uses semi-integrated cable routing, with the cables disappearing behind a removable cover cap. This ensures a clean appearance without making it difficult to mount or dismount the stem. Replacement works without disconnecting the cable and is as simple as with an ordinary stem.
The ALR 2.0 stem comes with the form-fit integrated top cap, which you can also use to install the separately available Rose ALR 2.0 Head Unit Mount for GARMIN and Wahoo. The clean design is therefore retained even if you want to install a suitable bike computer.
