In addition, the proven MIPS impact protection is already integrated into the fit system, which ensures outstanding protection and comfort. In typical enduro style, the bike helmet is particularly deep at the temples and in the neck area to increase the protective surface. Flat, adjustable Y-distributors and the tried-and-tested ERGOMATIC fastener on the chin ensure customisability. Last but not least, the high-quality three-shell construction protects the helmet from external influences and creates a cool look. This clever fitting system combines the proven MIPS impact protection with an individual, smooth and height-adjustable fit for your head.

WHAT IS MIPS?
MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) is a slip-plane system within the helmet. It is designed to rotate inside the helmet and thus slow down or reduce the impact energy acting on the brain, which helps reduce head injuries caused by rotational impacts.

WHY IS MIPS IMPORTANT?
When a head rotates quickly and comes to a sudden stop, the rotational acceleration may cause the brain tissue to experience high levels of strain. This stretching of the tissue caused by these motions may result in various types of brain injury. MIPS is designed with the intent to address rotational acceleration from impact.

HOW DOES MIPS WORK?
MIPS uses a slip-plane system that moves inside the helmet, mimicking the brain’s own protection system. This layer is designed to rotate inside the helmet with the intent to potentially slow down or reduce the amount of energy transferred to or from the head. Science tells us that if we can reduce the strains associated with rotational acceleration, we might reduce the risk and severity of brain injury.

INMOULD:
The liner is fused with the outer shell under high pressure and strong heat for a lasting connection. This makes the helmet very robust and lightweight.

CERAMIC SHELL:
A break- and scratch-resistant polycarbonate outer shell that is pressed onto an Hi-EPS body under high pressure and with intense heat. UV-resistant and antistatic.

CARBON TEC:
The material carbon is processed as carbon plates in the outer shell using the Inmould process. This makes the helmet particularly robust, while being lightweight. Forces acting on the helmet at specific points are absorbed by the carbon fibres, distributed over a larger area and thus reduced.

HI-EPS:
The inner shell is made from High Expanded Polystyrene with numerous microscopic air chambers that absorb impact energy in case of a collision.

EDGE PROTECT:
Sharp edges are eliminated during the manufacturing process in order to protect your hands when using the helmet as well as to effectively protect your neck and shoulders in case of an impact.

FLY NET:
A mesh fabric in the front vents serves as an anti-insect mesh. It prevents insects from entering the helmet, thus protecting from insect stings without compromising on air flow.

WIDE Y-CLIP:
A helmet can only provide best protection if it remains in the optimal position in case of a crash. The adjustment and fixation of the two straps under the ear are very important for this. The comfortably wide Y-clip system ensures easy and precise adjustment with an even better fit.

ERGOMATIC:
The strap closure with a red press button and a multi-step ratchet mechanism can be operated with one hand only. It won't become loose in case of a fall.
