VAUDE AQUA BACK PLUS (REC) Pannier Set

Turning old into new: In keeping with this motto, VAUDE has equipped the popular AQUA BACK PLUS bags in this set with recycled material. This bag also comes with tried-and-tested features that make everyday life, Sunday tours and cycling trips easier. These bags owe the PLUS in their name to the practical outer pocket – a PLUS in storage space!

Made of PVC free outer material – waterproof welded – this rear bag knows how to withstand moisture. The spacious main compartment with a practical inner zip pocket allows for safe and secure transport of your equipment. The QMR 2.0 attachment enables easy attachment and detachment to the rack. The roll-top closure of the pannier also ensures a variable volume of up to 24 litres per bag.

Highlights & Technologies:

ECO HARD BACK 2.0:
Hard shell bag back for VAUDE bike bags. The HARD BACK 2.0 is made of sturdy plastic and extremely impact- and abrasion- resistant. For the ECO version, the plastic is made from recycled material. The heavily stressed edges were additionally equipped with non-slip feet. The lower guide hook is now adjustable by hand and can be rotated freely through 360°. This allows you to individually adapt the bag to all luggage rack rails. The backs of the bags are symmetrical and can be fitted on either side of the bike. Maximum load: approx. 12.5 kg per bag.

ECO QMR 2.0:
The second generation of the QUICK MOUNT RELEASE (QMR) hook: even easier to use and can be directly locked onto the hook (for example with ABZS 145/20 padlock, optionally available under product code: 2269016). Thanks to included adapters, the QMR hooks fit a wide range of different tube diameters (8-16 mm). Simply choose the appropriate adapter for your rack, fit it into the QRM hook of the bag, adjust the hook’s position with the horizontal dial if need be and hook the bag on the rear rack with just one click. An additional hook with on an elliptical ring allows for individual adjustments to the vertical line of the luggage rack. The ECO version of the system uses hooks made from recycled polyamide.

GREEN SHAPE:
VAUDE's quality seal for products that are produced in a particularly environmentally-friendly way. As there is no worldwide standard for the assessment of organic products, VAUDE has developed their own rating system for environmentally friendly outdoor products with strict criteria. GREEN SHAPE labelled products are made from sustainable materials and with resource saving production methods. The criteria are not only strict but also continuously reviewed and involve the entire product lifecycle, ranging from development through to product care and recycling after use. The aim of this rating system is to minimize the environmental impact.

GRÜNER KNOPF (“GREEN BUTTON”):
The German textile seal GRÜNER KNOPF (“Green Button”) identifies textiles that meet high social and environmental standards. 26 social and ecological criteria are considered for each product. The companies must prove their human rights, social and ecological responsibilities.

PET RECYCLING:
Depending on model and size, one recycled VAUDE bag is made of up to 12 PET bottles. The outer fabric of the models is 55% made from PET yarn and inside, 100 per cent of recycled materials are used. PET recycling helps reduce environmental pollution by 50% compared to new productions.

PVC FREE:
This VAUDE seal means that this product is made entirely without PVC (polyvinylchloride). Looks like tarpaulin and is just as durable and waterproof, yet consists of polyurethane coated textile fabric instead of PVC. PVC often contains plasticizers (phthalates) that are suspected of having negative health impacts.

The reflective design elements attached as decorative elements do not represent a personal protective equipment as mentioned in EU regulation 2016/425. Thus, they are also not covered by the provisions of the regulation.
