The Mavic Crossmax XL rear wheel was specially developed for demanding trail riding and impresses with its stability, precision and reliability. With its high-quality aluminium rim and innovative technologies, it offers the ideal basis for long tours, technical trails and flowing descents.

The lightweight Maxtal aluminium rim features the proven Mavic Fore technology with a fully sealed rim bed. This means that no rim tape is required, which saves weight and makes it much easier to fit tubeless tyres. With an inner rim width of 30 mm, the wheel optimally supports modern trail tyres and provides more traction and control. The asymmetric rim profile is designed for increased impact resistance, while the Black Shield surface offers additional protection against scratches and abrasion.

24 double-crossed straight-pull spokes provide a balanced mix of stiffness and comfort as they guarantee precise steering and reliable performance. The modern INFINITY hub platform combines a lightweight, rigid design with high durability. It is complemented by the Mavic QRM auto bearings and the robust Instant Drive 360 freehub system. This combination ensures low rolling resistance, explosive propulsion and minimal maintenance.

• ID 360 Instant Drive: A lightweight and low-friction Dual Ratchet freewheel system for explosive propulsion and reliable power transmission. 
• UST tubeless technology: The Mavic standard for tubeless tyres not only improves traction, comfort and rolling resistance, but also reduces the risk of tyre defects.
• SUP (Soudé Usiné Process): Particularly stable, arc-welded rim joint where the weld of the rim joint is perfectly flat milled for a seamless, smooth transition to achieve balanced rotation without brake vibrations.
• Fore tapeless tubeless technology: With Mavic Fore Technology, the spokes are connected directly to the lower rim bridge with a special screw nipple in an incorporated threaded receptacle to increase the resistance of the rim. The closed rim bed remains intact as part of the tubeless system. This makes it easy to change spokes and saves the extra weight of the rim tape.
• Black Shield Treatment: A special rim sealant on Mavic's MTB wheels with a double coating in a matt finish increases resistance to stone chips and scratches.
• QRM Auto (Qualité de Roulements Mavic Auto): Smooth-running, double-sealed and maintenance-free industrial bearings with high dimensional accuracy and self-adjusting bearing preload.
