The maximum load depends on the approved system weight, which is 110 kg for the Backroad and Backroad AL. Subtract the weight of the bike and your own weight with clothing from this. What's left over can be carried as luggage on the bike.

First, please measure your inside leg length. Use a spirit level and a meter stick to help you. Lean against a wall without shoes, hold the spirit level straight and pull it high up into your crotch. Measure the result from the floor to the top edge of the spirit level. The recommendations for your bike model are indicated in the size selection in the ordering process.

It is important to clean and oil the chain – depending on use, but at the latest after riding in the rain. You should also wash your bike regularly and then lubricate moving parts such as the rear derailleur.

Yes, you can just get started with gravel biking. The handlebar on an adventure gravel bike is usually wider than on a road bike and the riding position is more comfortable. If you don’t have any experience with a drop bar and have only ridden bikes with a very upright riding position, it is definitely worth taking a test ride.

Gravel bikes are generally also suitable for commuting. Mudguards and lights are an advantage here – or you can take a direct look at our Backroad EQ models. But remember that you will need a backpack or bike bags for your work equipment. A gravel bike with drop bar is too sporty for shoulder bags.

Yes, that’s generally possible. In this case, however, you should expect some waiting time and preferably visit us during the week, with sufficient time until closing time.

Gravel cycling only requires a few basics. First and foremost a set of pedals, as these are usually not included with new bikes. Our gravel pedal guide will help you make the right choice. If you opt for clipless pedals, you will also need suitable cycling shoes. The second must-have is a bike helmet. It doesn't matter which model – as long as it fits and feels good. However, lightweight, sporty models with sufficient vents are recommended. Finally, cycling glasses to protect you from the sun and wind.
