aluminium Presta valve

Replacing a bicycle valve with a lightweight Tune Presta valve is not as absurd as it might seem. It is astonishing how much unnecessary ballast you carry along when adding the weight of all inconspicuous components and details that are also available in a lightweight version. The valve is one of those parts and is used on both wheels.
The anodized aluminium version by Tune weights a mere 4 g despite its sophisticated construction. A universal rubber cone at the valve base perfectly adapts to different rim profiles to make sure that neither air nor sealant will get out of the tyre. To be on the safe side, an additional rubber ring in the valve nut seals the rim from the outside. Colour-coordinated aluminium spoke nipples make sure you will get a discreet wheel tuning.
