The Schwalbe Hans Dampf Evolution in the Super-Gravity variety is part of the newest stage of development for Schwalbe’s Evolution Line mountain bike tyres.

The tyre has for years been a successful model in the Schwalbe universe and loved by all bikers who think the Magic Mary is too extreme and Nobby Nic too tame. Just like its beloved predecessor, the redesigned Hans Dampf is also a versatile all-rounder. In this version with the “Super-Gravity” casing, it can cope with everything you throw at it on the harder stretches of mountain biking.
That’s why it comes with a four-layer carcass under the centre tread, an Apex insert at the sides and a chafer placed directly against the bead combine to offer additional protection against punctures and grinding at the rim. The proven SnakeSkin insert, providing excellent cut protection, isn’t just built into the side walls, but also along the entire surface.
In addition, Schwalbe relies on a foldable bead core and an improved tubeless mounting.

The Hans Dampf Evolution mountain bike tyre’s tread has everything it takes to make challenging trails even more fun. Its well thought-out arrangement of the knobs guarantees pleasant riding at the upper limits and offers perfect feedback from the ground. In addition, the blocks are arranged to be open for optimal self-cleaning properties despite low rolling resistance. Elliptically arranged transition blocks offer a reliable feel in any situation and long double blocks in the centre ensure maximum braking power. Featuring large and smaller shoulder blocks alike, the Hans Dampf Evolution guarantees high control and safety on hard as well as loose ground, or when cornering quickly.

Beyond that, the versatile ADDIX Soft rubber compound means that you can rely on the tread in dry as well as wet conditions!
