Continental Archetype TdF special 700 x 30C Road Bike Tyre

The key to success is not found by chance. Continental's collaboration with UAE Team Emirates – XRG has now resulted in the Archetype in the TdF special edition. As Conti's lightest and fastest 30 mm road tyre, it saves around 35 g compared to the Grand Prix 5000 S TR.

The Archetype TdF special folding tyre was developed for road cyclists who value high performance and reliability on the road. The road bike tyre combines the proven Black Chili rubber compound with modern tubeless-ready technology and is therefore ideal for anyone looking for speed, comfort and control on asphalt. In addition, Lazer Grip is a finely lasered microstructure in the shoulder section for noticeably better cornering grip. What’s more, it creates a high-quality look with its velvety surface.

The 2-ply casing construction with a fine 220 tpi weave density ensures a smooth ride as well as high efficiency. The Black Chilli compound offers a noticeable advantage in terms of rolling resistance and cornering grip. Thanks to the TR version, the tyre can be easily converted to a tubeless system, all for more comfort, reduced puncture risk and even better control on long distances.
