Campagnolo Ekar™ 1 x 13-speed Crankset

The Ekar™ singlespeed crank was crucial to the development of Campagnolo's drivetrain for modern gravel bikes. That’s because it embodies the simplicity, performance, and robustness of the Ekar™ system like no other component from the 13-speed shifting group. No front derailleur, much lower weight, fewer moving components that can cause problems, plus a high level of protection against chain drops. And no unnecessary gear overlap - the perfect solution for Campa on dusty gravel roads!

Thanks to the gravel-specific ProTech™ technology, based on the proven Campagnolo Ultra Torque™ technology, one half of the crank axle made from AISI 630 steel is built into each of the two crank arms made of high-quality UD carbon. These axle halves have self-centring and self-aligning Hirth gearing and are connected inside the bottom bracket by a single strong bolt.
The oversized stainless steel bearings are located directly on the axle halves of the crank for maximum efficiency and rigidity. In that location they are also easily accessible for inspection and maintenance without having to remove the bearing cups from the frame.

Campagnolo offers four chainring options for the Ekar™ crankset, from 38 teeth to 44 teeth. The light and resistant chainrings made of 7075 aluminium are easily replaceable. With their asymmetrical design and 123 mm bolt circle, they can be easily unscrewed from the crank spider without needing to remove the crank. In this way, Campagnolo makes it easier to adapt the Ekar™ gearing to different types of trails and uses.
