Steel is a very robust material, ideal for the daily rides in the city. You stay calm if the frame bumps into something. Another advantage: Steel frames are less rigid than aluminium frames and are more comfortable to ride on mixed routes, on dirt roads and over curbs and cobblestones. The steel frame is slightly heavier but the weight is reduced by the carbon fork. That’s why the Hobo only weighs 13 kg, light enough for quick rides and easy carrying. Another bonus it the retro look of the steel bike.

An advantage of a flat bar is that it can be adjusted to suit your needs by shortening it. Narrow handlebars improve handling when riding through the city, wider ones give you control off the road. The Hobo Cues handlebar is narrower than its predecessor (680 instead of 780 mm) and therefore strikes a good balance. Personal preferences are important too, also depending on the shoulder width. If you want to shorten the handlebar: The workshop has the right tools for precise cuts and clean deburring.  

The Rose Hobo features a carbon fork which increases comfort when riding. Carbon transfers less vibrations and offers maximum stiffness for precise steering. The carbon fork also reduces the weight, complementing the steel frame perfectly – whether you use the Hobo for commuting or as a gravel bike in everyday life.

The integrated front rack of the Hobo Cues can be easily removed or replaced by a larger Hobo rack. Just loosen the screws and tighten them with a torque wrench according to the Hobo rack manual. The attachment system is the same and compatible with former racks so you can also mix the colours. The load of the rack must not exceed 5 kg.

Yes, the Hobo has attachment points to retrofit mudguards. The right Hobo aluminium mudguard set is available as an accessory and approved for tyre widths up to 47 mm.

The Hobo features 27.5 inch wheels, also known as the wheel size 650B. The smaller wheels accelerate fast, are agile and enable wider tyres – perfect for tight stop-and-go traffic in the city and added comfort on gravel and cobblestone paths.
If you need to replace the tyres of your Hobo, choose the size 650B. The tyre width must not exceed 55 mm and when mudguards are fitted 47 mm. Rims and tyres are tubeless-ready but this is not necessary to change the tyre. 

Hydraulic disc brakes are the gold standard on a bike. They provide a firmer grip than rim brakes, particularly in wet conditions. Braking requires less force and is easier to modulate. 
Instead of cables, hydraulic brakes use brake fluid or hydraulic oil, like in a car. There are also mechanical disc brakes, mostly on entry-level bikes. However, their braking performance is lower, they are less controllable, and they require more frequent adjustment.  

You can expand your bike with accessories for everyday life and longer tours. Don’t forget about the pedals as they are not included. The 14 attachment points on the frame and fork offer space for bottle holders, bags or Gravel Cages. A folding lock with holder or the practical Rose Tool Strap are also useful accessories. Designer lights such as the Lunivo Dice go well with the sleek frame of the Hobo. 

The Hobo Cues comes in two seasonal colours, twice a year a new colour is available. The units of the seasonal colours are limited, so in some sizes they may sell out faster. However, you can look for remaining stock of older colours and models in the sale anytime.
